Happened to be infront of the tv enjoying my dinner around 8pm when i heard something interesting. It was a local talk show "You hua hao hao shuo" and the topic at that moment was APPEARANCE- "Do people really mind about appearance when it comes to job hunt?" The guest for today was Mr. Wei (S'pore's Bak Gu Tei King- S'pore's delicacy).
Mr. Wei met with a very serious accident years back and that resulted in the lost of one of his eyes. He was somehow disfigured and undergo a few surgeries. I admitted that i was taken aback when i saw his face. He talked about his tough times whereby his boss, colleagues and friends started to abandon him while he was hospitalised and ultimately lost his job when he needed 4-5 years of rest after discharging. He was rejected countless times during job hunt just because of his appearance...BUT he's unbeatable by all encounters just because he's someone of great perseverance! *Applause*
However, not all were lost as he had a close gal friend who stood by him after his accident. Everyday w/o fail, she would use her 1hr lunch time to visit him. Wow...unbelievable right? How many people can do that nowadays especially they were just normal friends there then! Of course in the end they were happily married with two kids. *Loving family* Mrs. Wei mentioned that she admired his filial piety and his "no die" attitude. His frankenstein look didn't scare her off and she even helped him to overcome his phobia to face the outside world. Is this call true love? Noble isn't it? Hmm...*envy*

Ya, dun lose heart yet... There will be someone for each of us, just that you have yet to find him. Before you meet the right one, you get to meet the wrong ones. Only then, you will be able to cherish your Mr Right heehee...

Well to me, true love is unselfish whereby one is willing to sacrify for the other unconditionally. Be it time, money, effort, or even life in certain cicumstances. In a lighter side, having similar goals in life, doing things together, enjoying each others prescence, sharing the same sentiment on most situations, compliment each others weak points etc. That's my thought of true love :)
You forgot to add in that true love means "gong(4) huan (4) nan(4)" with you. Remember? You want someone who will stay by you through a war (if there's ever be one)....
