Petty or Not

An incident that happened today suddenly made me realised that i might be too petty?! Well, you'll be the judge and give me your honest opinion.

Our company has just acquired a new barcode system whereby production can only proceed to manufacture when an order is fully in place (PO#, qty, price, description and most important of all, order MUST NOT be on credit hold). Our dear MD is the one who possess this 'honourable' authority to lift any orders that are on credit hold. In the past, he would take his own sweet time and after umpteen times of reminders before he lifts the hold. Of course with this new system implemented, he doesn't have such luxury anymore or else the order will be delayed. We, NOT HIM, will get it if such delays happened hence i will be like 'haunting spirit' who will be bugging at him till he does his job. Unbelievable yeah? It's happening.....

There are several occasions whereby he wasn't really happy at the way i reminded him and still had the cheek to gave excuses like "No, i didn't receive your reminders...when did you send it? More than once? Are you sure?" HELLO! I'm not your bloody secretary! Can you be more proactive and do your part? I was totally disgusted by the way he acted. Definitely not a MD that i will show respect to.

Oh yah, back to today's incident. My colleague in US wrote a long email on the new system and credit hold issue. He asked MD to held a conference call with the Financial Controller back in US to discuss on the solution as this inflexible system will result an order to be onhold more than once before it's shipped. Guess what? MD opposed since he wants easy life. He wrote back and demanded a system that is the same as US (auto lifting by system). This wasn't the reason i was angry about. One of the sentence in his equally long but bullshit reply (cc big boss) wrote "Asia Pacific is having the lowest aging among all regions. I must say that MP has done a good job in obtaining payment advices and collecting overdues" Excuse me, are the rest of the sales team INVISIBLE to you? Not that i'm petty, but MP is not the only one who's trying her means and ways to collect back the money....Can you at least be more appreciative? If you do not wish to give your credit to the team, then pls don't mention names.

I must say, after reading his email, i felt REALLY unfair and VERY 'wei qu'....The feeling when your effort is not even noticed or being appreciated really put me off...Why do i have such a MD?

End of long wkend...

3 days seems so short for me and tmr is monday AGAIN...Arrggghhh, as usual, having pre-monday-blue now :( I know.....i shldn't be grumbling BUT...sigh...I'M JUST SOOO LOBO AT WORK! Can you imagine i can clear my work before lunch? Well, it's the low peak season of the year so i guess i would need to bear with it for the moment....

Oh yah, Happy Easter everyone! Didn't know that Easter is actually today not Friday (quoted by Ken :p) as i don't celebrate that (but i LOVE chocolates though haha!)

Wanted to meet up with the girls on Friday but two of them had appointment with their hairdressers already hence we got to put off the idea. Played with the photoshop program on Fri and did my 1st masterpiece! Was quite satisfied though haha!



How is it? Presentable yeah? keke! I'm gonna learn more about it as i think it's fun! Oh yah talking about picking up new skills, i went to nearby CC on saturday to find courses to attend! Had a few in mind already (Hair cutting, German language, Kickboxing & ABT Sculpt, Belly Dance etc). Will sign up some to kill time :p

Visited my grandparents at CCK's "An Le Yuan" today. A very peaceful place and i'm thinking of buying a space there haha :p The tombsweeping was more like a family gathering whereby we met up with relatives whom we see once a year....Seen other families, whom i suppose are facing the same issue, brought along chairs, floor mats, mini water dispenser etc and kind of 'picnic' there! I was shocked! S'porean are just too busy yeah? Therefore, if isn't Qing Ming, i guess we won't have any chance to catch up?
