True life story of Mr. Wei
Mr. Wei met with a very serious accident years back and that resulted in the lost of one of his eyes. He was somehow disfigured and undergo a few surgeries. I admitted that i was taken aback when i saw his face. He talked about his tough times whereby his boss, colleagues and friends started to abandon him while he was hospitalised and ultimately lost his job when he needed 4-5 years of rest after discharging. He was rejected countless times during job hunt just because of his appearance...BUT he's unbeatable by all encounters just because he's someone of great perseverance! *Applause*
However, not all were lost as he had a close gal friend who stood by him after his accident. Everyday w/o fail, she would use her 1hr lunch time to visit him. Wow...unbelievable right? How many people can do that nowadays especially they were just normal friends there then! Of course in the end they were happily married with two kids. *Loving family* Mrs. Wei mentioned that she admired his filial piety and his "no die" attitude. His frankenstein look didn't scare her off and she even helped him to overcome his phobia to face the outside world. Is this call true love? Noble isn't it? Hmm...*envy*

Boring but Relaxing Sunday~
Actually from the conversation with him, i realised that i'm just like a 'jing di wua', someone who have yet to explore the real world and being constraint to own comfort zone...hmmm...consider myself lucky or unlucky? I don't know...S'pore is such a safe place to live in BUT in contrast, probably all the bonus points here make us dependent. Given a choice, i wish that i can study/work oversea and experience an independent life for a few years...Just a few good years and i will die w/o regret i guess :)

United and Untied
Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults aren't really important.
Once you decide to commit to someone, over time their flaws, vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious. If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve, you've got to learn not let every little thing bother you.You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths. You are two unique individuals who have decided to share a life together.
Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other? Do you bring out the best of each other? Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete, compare, and control? What do you bring to the relationship? You can't make someone love you or make someone stay. If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment, and "a life," you won'tfind yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for your pain.
Manipulation, control, jealousy, neediness, and selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving, healthy, loving and lasting relationship.Seeking status, sex, wealth, and security are the wrong reasons to be in a relationship. What keeps a relationship strong?
Communication, intimacy, trust, a sense of humor, sharing household tasks, some getaway time without business. Leave a nice message on their voicemail or send a nice email. Sharing growth is important. Grow together, not away from each other, giving each other space to grow without feeling insecure.Allow your mate to have outside interest. You can't always be together. Give each other a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment.
Don't try to control one another. Learn each other's family situation. Don't put pressure on each other for material goods. Remember for richer or for poorer. If these qualities are missing, the relationship will erode as resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty, and pain replace the passion. " Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think.
The difference between 'United' and 'Untied' is where you put the i. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
The above article is written by a friend and I find that the last para is meaningful :)

Happy Birthday Singapore!
"Peace is not simply the absence of war. A truly peaceful
society is one in which all people can maximize their
potential and build fulfilling lives free from threats to
their dignity. When ordinary citizens around the globe
join hands to call for peace, a solidarity of awakened and
empowered individuals can propel humankind toward the twin
goals of genuine disarmament and a flourishing culture of
peace."
Happy holiday!! World Peace ô_ô

I'm not stressed up as a few friends of mine suggested and neither do i troubled with 'xin shi' haha! Anyone has any remedy to help me?? :( Guess i'm gonna jog later until i drop 'dead' and i will be sooooo tired that i can slp well tonight? *Hopefully* hmmm this shall be it!
